CAN ONLY GIVE TO MEN ONE WHO RECEIVED FROM GOD

All the great initiates in spirituality who attained self-realization avoided being called masters, for each one's experience was particular, just as the experience of any one of us is. The so-called master can eventually direct his disciple to a path that leads him to self-knowledge and subsequent self-realization, but the master is only an arrow on the path. It is up to the disciple to filter the experiences of both and so follow his own journey.

The purpose of the so-called master "is not to take the disciple whit him indefinitely, but to give him full autonomy and autocracy, so that one day the disciple may follow his own path with perfect clarity and absolute security, without the master’s guidance. And then the external master became an inner master, inherent in the disciple. The greatest triumph of a true master is to become superfluous, for the master who never becomes superfluous has not fulfilled his mission."

Jesus himself, one of the human beings who attained the highest level of self-realization, said: "Call no man your father and your teacher. Only one is your Father..." and each one is the master of himself.

Huberto Rohden did not like being called master or guru. "I am no master of anyone but a disciple of all!"

"What leads a pseudo-enlightened person to present itself as enlightened is almost always the ambition of prestige, the greed of money or pride, stealing the key of knowledge of the kingdom of God.

This key is an inner experience, not conditioned by any external formality. Power comes from within, weakness comes from external sources.

"The letter kills - but the spirit gives life."

Ritual gives external prestige - the spiritual gives inner strength.

Whoever performs the ritual without possessing the spiritual is a false prophet; stole the key to the knowledge of the kingdom of God. Deceived, deceive others. Blind, lead other blind, is not a conductor, rather, a seductive.

Ignorance of the spiritual world is darkness - experience is light.

Can only give light one who have been enlightened.
Can only give to men one who have received from God.
Can only distribute to men one who possess the treasures of divinity.

It is necessary for the spiritual guide to comprehend that the only possibility of guiding others is to be guided by God, and that no church or sect can give that experience. All churches and sects are like so many arrows placed at the edge of life’s path, at doubtful and uncertain crossroads; anyone who stood at the foot of these landmarks or was content to look in the direction indicated by the arrows would never reach the end of the journey.

The soul of Christianity is not something that can be taught or learned intellectually, as in a course of theology or explanation of texts; is something that must be lived and felt, and even suffered, in deep silence and fruitful solitude. Others may, at best, lead me to the threshold of the sanctuary, but it is only myself who can cross this threshold and meet God face to face.

The most glorious day for the true master is the day when it becomes superfluous and expendable, the glorious day when the soul guided by no longer needs guidance, for having become spiritually autonomous and independent, in order to walk safely and firmly through the paths of God.”
