BEING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN DOING

The main aim of the spiritual missionary must be not in the results of his external and visible activity, but in the invisible reality of his inner sanctity. Being is more important than doing. Far more numerous are the amount of men who put greater emphasis on external activities than in internal attitude; hardly realizing that the internal attitude is far more important.

Social activity has no autonomous value in itself, if it does not arises from the mystical attitude of man.

Does not really matters what man does or says - what really matters is what man is. All his doings can be good and praiseworthy, but if they are not the natural and spontaneous manifestation of his inner attitude, they are worthless... they are like many zeros, whose sum or multiplication will always be equal to zero!

There are on the external activities, when dissociated from the inner reality, two very serious dangers:

1) - These activities gives to the author a false sense of security, creating in him a self-sufficiency over the collected results, preventing him from going beyond what he has already achieved, or thinks he has achieved. This delusion and self sufficiency are the greatest spiritual disaster for man externally active and internally passive, because will direct him to enter into a spiritual stagnation zone. Woe to man fully satisfied with his external works! The only factor that can prelude his redemption is a deep dissatisfaction with himself. Incomparably more important than the glorious doings on the horizontal level is the intensification of his vertical being. Is worthless the act of doing, saying or having in the world of quantitative objects, if in the world of qualitative subject there not exists a deeper self.

2) - The second danger is that this externalized man judges his influence on others on what he does and says - when it is impossible to promote the true conversion of another person, if I am not a genuine and authentic converted, i.e., a man intimately united to God. It is only my being that can influence the being of others, but if my being is weak, I cannot give strength to the weak. Only the powerful positive can act on the negative of others; if I am not 100% positive, by an intense and profound experience of God, I cannot exert real influence over others, equally negative. Can my listeners or readers admire and applaud me; but they did not feel strong enough to leave the nocturnal world of their moral miseries to enter into the world of daytime virtue and holiness, because they do not see that world crystalized in me. And even in the best case that they thought that the divine world is realized on me, they do not would convert to God, because there are not the appearances which work, but the reality, a reality that, in this case, would be absent from me. I can say with great eloquence that the spirit world is grand and beautiful, and my listeners or readers, at best, will believe in my words - but from believing to being there is a huge distance. Believing is a distant and vague theory - being is a close and strong reality. It is very difficult the transition from believing to being, and if anyone see this crystalized being in a human person, will not become converted because they do not see in myself, my conversion.

The converted is one who can truly say: "The Father and I are one..., no longer I who live but Christ is living in me."

My words of one not converted, may give light to listeners or readers; but will lack of strength, which comes not from words, but from the spiritual reality of the human individual, in which the "Word" was made flesh and dwells substantially "full of grace and truth."

There is something infinitely more important than any external work - is the man himself, his full realization in Christ, for which those works are like means to an end. External activities should never be anything else but a spontaneous overflow of an inner fullness. If this fullness does not exist - nothing can overflow! It is like some emptiness camouflaged in fullness, i.e., a great lie presented as being true?... A fire in a painting does not provide light or heat - while a smaller portion of real fire can ignite fires and illuminate entire worlds.

Does not really matters what man says, does or has - what matters is what he is. What he is refers to the quality of his intimate SELF - what he says, does or has, refers to the amounts of his external ego.

Does not really matters what man realizes in the external world of objects - what matters is what he accomplishes for himself. A single self-realization overcomes all external realizations.

Ignorância do mundo espiritual é treva – experiência é luz.

CAN ONLY GIVE TO MEN ONE WHO RECEIVED FROM GOD

All the great spiritual initiated that reached a high degree of self-realization avoided being called masters, because the experience of each was particular, as well as the experience of any of us is particular. The so-called master, may eventually direct the beginner to a path that leads to self-realization, but after that it's up to him to follow his own journey.

The purpose of the so-called master "is not to carry with him indefinitely, the disciple, but to give full autonomy and autocracy, so that someday the disciple can go his path with perfect clarity and absolute security, without the master. Then the external master became an internal master, inherent to the disciple. The greatest triumph of a true master is to become superfluous, because the master who never becomes superfluous not fulfilled its mission".

Jesus, the Christ, one of the most self-realized human beings said: "Do not call anyone your father and your master. Only one is your Father."... and each one of us is the master of himself. Huberto Rohden did not like to be called master or guru. "I am not master of anyone but a disciple of all!"

"What makes a pseudo-enlightened soul to perform as enlightened is always the ambition of his ego; prestige, pride, greed of money, stealing the key of the knowledge of God's kingdom.

This key consists of an inner experience, not conditioned by any external formality. The power comes from within, the weakness comes from outside .

"The word kills - but the spirit gives life."
The ritual gives external prestige - the spiritual gives inner strength.

Who performs the ritual without possessing the spiritual is false prophet; stole the key of the knowledge of God's kingdom. Deceived, deceiving others. Blind leading the blind, is not a leader, but seductive instead.

Ignorance of the spiritual world is darkness - experience is light.
Only those who are enlightened are the ones able to enlighten others.
Can only give to men one who received from God.
Can only distribute to men one who possess the treasures of divinity.

It is necessary that the spiritual guide who comprehends the unique ability to guide others let himself be guided by God, and that no church or sect can give this experience. All churches and sects are like many other landmarks placed along the path of life, at the dubious crossroads; who stopped at the foot of these landmarks just looking at the direction indicated by the arrows will never come to the end of the journey.

The soul of Christianity is not something you can teach or learn intellectually, like in a theology course; is something that must be lived and felt, and even suffered in profound silence and fruitful solitude. Can, at best, others lead me to the threshold of the sanctuary, but only I can overcome this threshold and meet God face to face.

The most glorious day for the true master is the day when he becomes superfluous and unnecessary, the glorious day when the soul guided by him no longer need a guide, by becoming spiritually autonomous and independent, to ride safe and firm the paths of God".

A morte do falso eu e a sua ressureição no grande NÓS produz necessariamente a morte do pequeno meu e o ressurgimento do grande NOSSO.

INDIVIDUAL OWNERSHIP WITH COLLECTIVE USE AND ENJOYMENT

This title was captured from the message, a short text but of much significance.

I must confess that the translation exercises are even comical. In fact I talk with Rohden, working certain words I believe that even Brazilians today (10.30.2013) cannot understand, due to the richness of Rohden's vocabulary. That is why dictionaries are by my side all the time!

In fact what I usually do, for better understanding, is to make the text more accessible to the reader, simplifying ideas, reducing the repetitions and sometimes trying to remove a paragraph (in order to facilitate the translation), as for example: "When the I flows into the us, the stream of mine flows into the ocean from ours", which is of quite difficult understanding - figurative language, richness of imagination and sense of humour, that even Brazilians face difficulties to understand, if only because few live in that atmosphere and unfortunately, good schooling is decreasing worldwide. What I identified and used as the idea of this phrase was: "The death of the false self and the resurrection in the great US necessarily produce the death of the small mine and the resurgence of the great OURS".

So, without betraying the idea, direction, I am simplifying... and I think Rohden agree!

“Greediness for material things remains the only impediment in our pilgrimage to the highest in order to achieve Self-Realization. No other disorder received so much attention from the spiritual masters of mankind, like for example, Jesus, the Christ, for he always warned his disciples against the dangers of being enslaved by material goods: “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth."

In ancient times, the only way for someone to break free from this bondage was deserting the world, leaving all its possessions - a good illustrated example was the resignation of Francis of Assisi - and even today, selfless and heroic souls, choose this path.

There is, however, another form of liberation.

Consist that man, while still legally owner of his property, been able to redirect part of it for the benefit and enjoyment of his fellow humans. Doing so, he is not the sole owner and proprietor, becoming administrator of the Creator's heritage (the Source) in favour of humanity.

The radical capitalism defends the right of individual ownership with individual enjoyment.

Communism, defends the social ownership with collective enjoyment.

However, neither capitalism nor communism are acceptable systems. Each of it has a truth and error. The truth of capitalism is the right to individual ownership - but its big mistake is the individual enjoyment. Communism advocates the great truth of the collective enjoyment and makes the mistake of banning individual ownership. If we avoid the two errors of the capitalism and the communism, and stay with the two truths that each professes, we have a form of Christian Socialism, based on the idea of individual ownership with collective use and enjoyment. The great evil is not the right to individual ownership; evil is that the individual owner want to enjoy alone or with it small group, all benefits regardless of the privations and needs of the rest of fellow humans.

While man is not convinced that he is only administrator of the equity received from the Source in favour of humanity, there will be no solution to the painful collective problem. But this conviction only happens when a great comprehension of the inner truth of each individual is reached.

When man overcomes his small ego and discover his great Self, he loose the narrow sense of what belongs to him. The death of the false self and the resurrection in the great US necessarily produce the death of the small mine and the resurgence of the great OURS.

This is the "Christian Socialism" of spontaneous love, quite different from the greed of capitalism and the compulsory law of the political communism..."
