THE TWO FACES OF THE CLOUD

Do not believe, my friend, in totally dark clouds. As sinister as they may seem from below, they are still luminous from above.

It's a matter of perspective ...

When one day you travel to the stratosphere, you will see that even its thickest blackness is diluted in luminous whiteness.

Do not believe in a lost life.

Do not speak of complete defeat.

Life is so vast, sublime, and deep that no disgrace can ruin it altogether.

If the ignorance or perversity of men closes you one door ... open another one.

If the infidelity of the enemies or the betrayal of “friends” could demolish the palaces of your opulence ... build a modest hut on the side of the road.

Better a hut lighted with smiles than a palace drowned in tears ...

No one can make you unhappy - except yourself.

You are the only one having the keys of heaven and hell in hands.

“The kingdom of God is within you” ...

Happiness is not at the periphery of your life - it is at the centre of your being. It is not in the nerves, flesh, blood, the chance or the destiny where lies true beatitude - but in the inner recess of your consciousness.

God created you for happiness - and who can thwart the plans of the Almighty?

If your life is not a sunny day - why could not it be a starlit night?

Why could not your happiness gain in depth what it may have lost in the extension?

Why could not the soft light of the stars cause in the soul happiness that never gave you the sunlight?

If you do not perceive the singing of birds and the sizzling cicadas during the day - why do not you get used to listening to the discrete voices with which the night silence fills your loneliness?

There is so much mysticism in the phosphorescence of the Milky Way ...

There is so much wisdom in voluntary omission that sidereal light emits ...

There is so much eloquence in the mutism of distant nebulae ...

There are so many prayers in the whisper of night breezes ...

There is so much soul in the silver serenity of the moon ...

There is so much philosophy in the vastness of the cosmos ...

There is so much beatitude in pain affliction when enlightened by a great ideal ...

There happens profound peace amid the battlefield when man comprehends the reason for the struggle and the divine sense of suffering ...

No matter how black the human face of the clouds of your life - believe, my friend, that is luminous the face facing the heights of the Divinity.
