If love were simply attraction or sex appeal, there could be no greater frustration for the world is inhabited by billions of human beings with the most diverse preferences, so that, failing one love, the frustrated could choose another love - and thus, the frustration would hypothetically end.
However, true love is something much more than the simple attraction between humans. Love is the recognized fact, a truth that is not demonstrated and fundamental to the unity and security of creation. It is the mystique of worship; it is the first commandment, so intense, which spontaneously overflows into ethics in the attitude of the second commandment to all the creatures of the Universes.
The more human the love is, the greater the possibility of a love frustration, often ending in a deadly tragedy. True love is something cosmic, mystical, unique, unrepeatable, of which a second or third edition cannot be made; it is beyond our reach; is something that “happens to us,” and it is not in our power to make it “happen” for the second or third time. Something broke in this delicate crystal of the soul which loved, and there is no repair...
Romantic novels and movies often replace love for another love, proving only its superficiality, and for the sake of the so-called civilized barbarism, this banality is considered normal...
Thus, the love that is shown among the vast majority of humans, this generally ephemeral idyll is nothing else than the battle of two intense egos, one abusing another, one sensibility hurting the other, one imposing on the other a certain duty, an obligation, beginning the wear and the agony of love which culminates in frustration!
True love is only realized in its definitive greatness, not when one ego needs the other, but when both lovers see in each other the divine presence conscious of their oneness with the creator’s power.
