My dear friend, let each bird have its way of flying!
Let each plant its shape!
To each flower its colour!
To the essence its perfume!
Let each man his way of being!
Each soul its way to the heights!
Don't think that only your pilgrimage is the best!
Many are the paths that lead to God ...
Wherever there exists the desire of right attitudes - there exists a bridge to the Infinite ...
Try to preserve men from false paths - but do not take all paths different from yours as false!
God is the God of plenitude - not emptiness ...
God is the God of variety - not monotony ...
God is a friend of evolution - not of stagnation ...
How tedious the flora scenario would be if all the flowers were roses, lilies or carnations.
If all the leaves on the plants had the same shape and colour.
How monotonous the fauna would be if there were only reptiles, or fish, or mammals?
If there were, among the beings of each family, only one anatomical form.
If all birds had only grey, green, red or blue plumage.
If all the insects were just ants, beetles or wasps.
If all quadrupeds were dogs or horses only.
How monotonous would the mineral world be if all the stones were sapphires, rubies, emeralds, diamonds or topaz?
If all metals were iron or copper, gold or silver.
The night sky would not be wonderful if all the stars were the same size and were arranged symmetrically like a chessboard.
Do not want, O man, to correct the works of the Creator ...
Do you know why men of all natures, multiple characters, geniuses of different colours live in the world?
If no two plants are alike - why would there be two souls alike?
Every man is an original, unprecedented being - a world in itself, a cosmos apart, full of light and darkness, of heights and abyss, of enigmas and mysteries ...
Do not try to reduce to tedious monotony the multiform universe of the spirits!
Do not try to replace this glowing multi-coloured epic with a desert of single-coloured ash!
Do not try to impose on anyone, your livelihood, your ideas, your behaviour, your tastes and desires, your religion, your options of life in every sense.
But if you can point out the path of peace and goodness, of the mystique of love for the Creator and the ethical experience with your fellow men, of self-knowledge and realization, no one can foresee the wonders of the harvest of blessings that will arise in the moments of comprehending the faults of others, because every saint had a past and every sinner has a future.
Let to each one the character that God has given - and the path that God has laid out for them!
Respect in others the freedom you claim for yourself!
Esteem what is yours - respect what belongs to others!
Be, in the great mosaic of the Universe, the pebble you are - and let others be the pebbles they are!
If everyone were like you and if you were like the others - all the beauty would die ...
Beauty only exists where harmony reigns in diversity ...
Beauty is the splendour of order ...
It is colourless light - which, when directed at a prism, becomes multi-coloured ...
