CONFORMITY AND NONCONFORMITY

Conformity and nonconformity - this is the great law of evolution. The level of his current evolution must fully conform man - and at the same time not to conform so that he finds definite satisfaction. If he does not conform to what he has, he will be ruthlessly swallowed by the environment in the constant struggle - if, after conforming, he does not conform, he will go into stagnation and death.

And this must be the attribute of every human being... to go through life and live, longing for the evolutionary process inherent in each being, from evolutionary potentiality to the dynamics of evolution. Without stagnating... without being a spectre of man, of going through life and not living.

“Without resistance, there is no evolution”, is a quote that appears in Raymond Ruyer's (1902-1987) book, “The Gnosis of Princeton”, in which he presents his philosophical views under the pretext of representing the visions of an imaginary group of American scientists and other international scholars, in a profound Cosmo-vision of the world and man, in the “theory of the consciousness of all living beings.”

And this same truth was symbolically stated in Genesis, where Moses speaks of the “breath of God” in contrast to the “serpent's wheeze”, to initiate the evolution of humankind.

And to consolidate this ideology of the necessity of conformity and non-conformity, of resistance and suffering for the spiritual evolution of man, Jesus, in his farewell words, says to his disciples: “I told you this so that you may have the peace in me. In the world, you will experience tribulation, but ye have faith; I have overcome the world.”
