DO NOT EXPECT TO BE REWARDED, COMPENSATED, REMEMBERED!

The imperfect man practices evil.

The not so perfect one practices good deeds to receive rewards.

However, the perfect man does good for the sake of it, without any second intention.

Those who need to be remembered admit that they are sick or injured.

Whoever expects to be compensated acknowledges that it has suffered some damage or loss - because it has done good deeds.

Whoever expects to be rewarded for the good it does confess that it is not good, that it is selfish; has deposited a capital in a bank to obtain greater interest.

Only those who practice good deeds for the sake of it are good - they are not selfish, do not feel impaired, sick or hurt by doing good and being good.

But how can I practice good deeds without expecting reward?

You cannot, my friend, assume an attitude of disinterest and absolute truth, while living in the delusion about yourself, while identifying your peripheral personality, physical-mental, with your central Self, with your spiritual soul, which is divine.

The physical-mental personality, essentially selfish, needs to be compensated for the benefits it provides to its peers - because it seems to damage the benefactor - who seeks to leave unharmed.

The spiritual soul, however, knows that to perform good deeds for the sake of doing it is to be intimately good - and whoever is good does not need indemnity, for it owns infinite wealth.

Your true Self is divine, which does not need to be rewarded, compensated, remembered - it is love, wealth, health.

God expects no reward from anyone - for it is Love, eternal.

God does not want compensation from anyone - for it is infinite Plenitude.

God cannot be remembered by anyone - for it is a perfect Sanity.

And your soul, being God in you, is Love, Plenitude, Sanity - do not degrade it, therefore, on a level inferior to itself! 

Discover your true divine Self, discover your soul in yourself, discover yourself as your soul - and you will be rich, happy and healthy because you are good.

Acquire the firm divine consciousness of your cosmic citizenship - and do not deceive yourself as an earthly citizen.

Here you are a temporary immigrant, stranger, pilgrim - your true homeland is the heaven, the infinite, the Universe of God.

Fulfil here, in the best way, your earthly stage - but do not reduce yourself to the slave of your slaves!

The supreme joy and happiness are in being what, in God's eternal plan, you must be now, here, and everywhere.

The tangible results of what you are and do, are not on your account - so do not mind what lies beyond your reach.

Do not make your happiness depend on something that does not depend on you.

From you depends on being good and on practising good deeds. From you does not depend on what others do with your benefits.

Do not, therefore, speak of “ingratitude” - who speaks this way reveals the impurity of its intentions.

The beneficiary, of course, has the moral obligation to be grateful - but the benefactor has no right to expect gratitude.

The gratitude or ingratitude of others is not part of your being good.

Be good, invariably good, joyfully good - and close your eyes to whatever may happen later, beyond the boundaries of your will.

If you do so, you will have your heaven here on Earth - and you do not need to be concerned with what happens next.

God is the Supreme Good. It will know what to do with you - if you are good.

How could a man, intimately good, suffer some evil from God, who is infinitely good?

Be good – and God will take care of the rest!
